Does it make sense?

Does the writer effectively convey his or her understanding of the business?

Do the assumptions coincide with the projections?

Does the writer have a grasp of cash flow and the impact it has on the business financials?

Preparing a business plan allows a business owner to be much better prepared for both the expected and the unexpected.  Formulating a plan at either the onset of creating a new business or for a seasoned business is an excellent tool to understanding the direction and potential changes a business could experience through the course of time.
